NOBEL LAUREATE GEOFFREY HINTON DISCUSSES ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: MAY HUMANITY COEXIST WITH SUPER-INTELLIGENCE?

In a public talk by Nobel Laureate Professor Geoffrey Hinton on Wednesday 7 January 2026, professor Geoffrey Hinton, known as the "Godfather of AI", discussed artificial intelligence - how it works, the risks it poses to our society, and how we might coexist with super-intelligent AI. Professor Hinton was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2024 for his foundational work on neural networks and deep learning that made advanced artificial intelligence possible.

In 2023, Professor Hinton resigned his position as Vice President of Google to speak freely about the dangers of AI.

This is a very special opportunity to listen to Professor Hinton in a speech that is interesting for researchers, educators, students, business leaders, creatives and anyone curious about the future of intelligence and society.
